Can You Set Your Lg Motion To 4g Only?

I just bought the LG Motion the other day, when i was at a friends house i lost service but it came back as 1x . I want 4G and i cant figure out how to get it to what i want. Is there a way i can set it to 4G only or how to get it back 4G?
