If you're being redirected to a site that has nothing to do with Netflix, then chances are your pc is infected with some type of virus or trojan, commonly called a "browser hijacker". Not all of them are this obvious, but some will make themselves apparent when you hit your home button and are taken to a site that you previously did not have designated as your homepage (ex: you have Google as your homepage, but when you hit home you are taken to a site that looks like Google, but isn't...you'll notice differences in it, not the least of which is that the word "Google" isn't at the top of the page). This page covers some of those issues: http://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/726801 . Under their comments section is a nice list of programs you can use to detect malicious software that may be the problem (malware), but I'd to also add "hijackthis" to the list. I've found HJT to be invaluable in the past to get rid of hijack attempts, but you're going to want to use care when running the program, but that will be explained on their site: http://www.windows7download.com/win7-trend-micro-hijackthis/mflatlya.html .
As far as clearing your cache is concerned, doing that and clearing your cookies are not necessarily the same thing. With a Firefox window open, hold the following combination of keys: Ctrl+Shift+Delete. This is a shortcut that brings up a windows of your temporary files. When I use it, I make sure only the first 4 boxes are checked, then hit 'clear now'. If it doesn't close automatically after its done, you may close it at this time. I've included a screenshot of that window, and as you can see, cache and cookies are separate items in it. Best of luck to you! :)
