I'm sorry to hear that your NordicTrack Elite 17.7 Elliptical is automatically going to the maximum ramp (20) when you power it on. It sounds like you've already tried some troubleshooting steps, such as a factory reset and ramp calibration, but they haven't been successful.

Here are a few other things you can try:

1. Check the incline motor and sensor:

The incline motor is responsible for raising and lowering the ramp. It's possible that the motor or its sensor is malfunctioning, causing the ramp to go to the maximum position.

To check the incline motor, you can try manually raising and lowering the ramp. If it feels stiff or jerky, it could be a sign that the motor is damaged.

You can also check the incline sensor by looking for any visible damage or debris around it.

2. Inspect the wiring and connections:

Loose or damaged wiring can also cause problems with the incline function.

Check all of the wiring connections to the incline motor and sensor to make sure they are secure and free of damage.

3. Update the firmware:

Sometimes, firmware updates can fix bugs and glitches that can cause problems with your elliptical.

Check the NordicTrack website to see if there is a firmware update available for your model.

4. Contact NordicTrack customer support:

If you've tried all of the above troubleshooting steps and the problem persists, you'll need to contact NordicTrack customer support for further assistance.

They may be able to provide additional troubleshooting tips or arrange for a technician to repair your elliptical.

Here are some additional tips:

When contacting NordicTrack customer support, have your model number and serial number handy.

Be prepared to describe the problem in detail, including what happens when you turn on the elliptical and any troubleshooting steps you've already tried.

Take pictures or videos of the problem, if possible, as this can help the customer support representative diagnose the issue.

I hope this information helps!

Please respond to my effort to provide you with the best possible solution by using the "Acceptable Solution" and/or the "Helpful" buttons when the answer has proven to be helpful.
