The Printer Shows Up As L.
when turning printer on it won't print nothing but only show the letter L and does not want to function the only thing that functions is advance button to change screens

Have you tried re-installing the printer drivers? Also check you are using the preferred operating system supported if the unit has been attached to a new PC. These can be found on page 22 of the user guide available here:

There is no reference to the letter 'L' in the troubleshooting section or error file.
