Why Does My Display Go Blank 20 Seconds After Power Up?

When I turn on my 60PL9200D/37, I get clear picture and sound for twenty seconds after which I lose the picture (not the sound).  When I lose the picture I also have the Lamp Indicator and Temperature Indicater (red) light turn on.

Sounds like a defective power supply.

I suspect that the power supply heats up, then fails.  Could be anything from a defective power transistor to a defective capacitor.  No way to tell from my end.

Either way this is a repair best handled by a repair shop.
