Playing A Source

I have two HDMI sources going thru the receiver, Blue Ray and the TV.  When I select the TV, the signal is passed thru to the TV and audio to the ext. speakers.  The same when I use the Blue Ray.  If I just want to use the speakers from the TV by it self, how can I get the signal & audio to go thru the TV by it self, with out using the external speakers?  I have a Dennon receiver that starts with the signal & audio going thru the TV, when the receiver is off, then when you turn the receiver on you can choose any playing source, when you shut off the receiver it reverts bach to the TV with its speakers.
