The Memo From A Previous Transaction Repeats In New Entries For That Payee. No!

If I put a decriptive one-time memo in an entry for a particular payee, that memo keeps repeating every time there is a new entry for that payee. How to make it stop this? It is tedious to have to go in and delete memorized payees constantly to get rid of these; and the inappropriate memos make my reports erroneous.
