Service For Specific Phone Numbers

Hi,I used to have a phone number and I stopped service to it several years ago.Now I need to get service on that phone number again and it is owned by Quest.Is there some way to buy that phone number or could I get a phone number with quest and get that phone number?

Phone numbers are not owned by phone companies. The issue is whether the phone number is used by another person. If it is, you could arrange with that person to release it. Bear in mind however that his or her phone company may impose a waiting period during which that person could reclaim it. So your first step is to call your own phone company to see how soon you could get back the phone number once released. Then you could call the number to open negotiations.
