Fresh Food Compartment Was Not Cooling

Hi, I had a samsung model RF32FMQDBSR/AA. The freshfood compartment was not cooling. The service tech came out, looked at it, made some phone calls and decided that the whole frigerator will have to be replaced. What could be the problem that cause the Service Tech specialized on Samsung product had to give up so quickly and decisively. I just want to know if this is the re-occurring issue and what's the problem with the refrig? Here are the conditions of the refrigerator: Freezer is working fine Refrigerator bottom compartment is working fine the top big fresh food compartment is WARM, (68F), fan is running, no ice on the coil, the small copper tube has about 33F, and relatively larger coil was at 68F. No heater element in freshfood compartment. There was a solenoid valve next to the compressor in the back that has multiple tubes coming in and out and i suspect that valve was messed up.
