Only Able To Record Videos For 30 Seconds

When i first got my phone there was no time limit on how long i could record a video and now all of a sudden ther is a 30 second timer that appears when i record. When the timer runs out my phone stops recording. I want to know how i can make my phone record for longer amounts of time like it used to. Is there some way i can delete cookies or defragment or something?
