What Does Error 7 Mean

my singer fashion mate shows an error message 7 and won't run How do I correct this so my machine runs

How do I fix the e7 error on my Singer sewing machine?

What does it mean and how do I clear it? The start/stop button, reverse/reinforcement stitch button or the thread cutter button was pressed while no thread cassette was installed. Install the thread cassette before continuing the operation.
