Arg! Skype Keeps Crashing My Computer! Video Blacks Out Whole Screen -help?

Thanks in advance for any help :)) when I try to do a video call, I can get through, but when the other person answers, the screen blacks out and the whole computer crashes. I have done everything listed on their website, even reinstalled skype and my Qwest modem. I can get tv online fine - no problems there, so why is skype crashing my computer? Please help? THanks, Laura
