Ready to change the oil in your Snapper mower? First, make sure you have the proper lawn mower oil type (same goes for snow blowers, tractors, tillers and outdoor power products from Snapper). Regular engine maintenance with the right oil viscosity and type ensure premium performance from your Snapper lawn equipment.

How much oil your lawn mower requires will vary depending on the mower's type and engine size. Small push mowers will require less mower oil than professional zero turns or riding tractors. To determine your engine oil capacity, you can find specifications or an oil capacity chart located in your lawn mower engine Operator's Manual. Snapper mowers are powered by Briggs & Stratton small engines. Manuals for Briggs & Stratton manufactured engines are available for download from the Briggs & Stratton Manuals & Partspage.

Engine oil capacity information is also available through your local Snapper Dealer.

For your safety, please thoroughly review and abide by all safety instructions noted in your Snapper Lawn Mower Manual or manuals for your Briggs & Stratton mower engine. The information above are not meant to replace advice or an authorized Snapper Service Dealer's work. Terms and Conditions apply to all of the content shared on this website. Always be sure to completely read and understand your Operator's Manual.
