Universal Remote To Control Dvd Function

My dog chewed up literally every remote I had, so I got an universal remote. I have setup the sound system on the remote and can control the volume and change the inputs. But I can't control the DVD functions. Is there an additional code I need? Or is this just not something I'm going to be able to use with an universal remote?

The answer depends on the particular universal remote. Check the documentation, and if necessary phone the manufacturer. In the worst case you may need a different universal remote. (You can almost certainly purchase from Sony Sony's remote for your product, but at considerable cost.)
