The cable is not connected properly. Make sure that the video component cable is securely connected to both the receiver and the source device.
The input is not selected correctly. Press the INPUT button on the receiver remote control and select Video 2 or DVD.
The source device is not outputting a video signal. Make sure that the source device is turned on and that the video output is set to the correct resolution.
The receiver is not set to the correct input mode. Press the AMP/VIDEO button on the receiver remote control to switch to video mode.
There is a problem with the receiver. If you have tried all of the above and are still getting a "no signal" message, it is possible that there is a problem with the receiver. In this case, you will need to contact Sony customer support for assistance.
Here are some additional tips:
Try using a different video component cable.
Try connecting the source device to a different video input on the receiver.
Try resetting the receiver to factory default settings. To do this, press and hold the AMP/VIDEO button on the receiver remote control for 5 seconds.
Try updating the receiver's firmware. You can download the latest firmware from the Sony website.
