I Am Having A Problem Removing The Guard Covering The Blade. I Can't Get It Off!

Just bought HSE 70 hedge trimmer. Comes with a plastic guard over the blade. I can't seem to get the cover to come off, this is the plastic cover with screw slots for hanging storage.
