Buying A Tv Stand

I bought a TV stand in Chesterfield Mo. I saw the model they had on display which was 25in. in height.  I specifically pointed out the stand because it was the height I needed. When the stand was assembled it was 21in. in height.  When I return to the store they told me that the  stand they had on display was no longer available.  They told me they could not sell me the one on display and if I was not happy with the one I had gotten I needed to take it back. I have three problems with this !. I paid to have the stand assembled 2.  the assembled stand does not fit in my car 3 The 21 in stand is useless to me. I feel that Target should do something about this because they have a display and they are giving the customer something else.
