Cancellations

I was informed that my order ref 10693248781 was cancelled---then  two days later I'm told it has been shipped. Being resident in the U.K. I cannot return an order which has been delivered as a wedding present to a couple in the U.S.A. Furthermore, on being told that my first order was cancelled I placed a second order ref.10693248983 ----What an embarrassing situation I can hardly ask the couple to return some of their wedding present-- especially as I have only met them once (they are my daughter's friends).
