Recordings Taking Up Too Much Space

I used to be able to record multiple shows and watch them later. Now all of a sudden if I record a one-hour show it is over 55% full and the next scheduled recording deletes the first show.

I had the same problem and tried to re-boot my DVR several times but tbat didn't work very effectively or for long. I ended up calling Time Warner and they said it was most likely a hard drive problem after troubleshooting my DVR remotely in conjunction with my cable service(over the phone). I exchanged my old unit for the same style new unit, and I haven't had a single problem since. It is so nice to have it working correctly again!! (Also, just FYI, the TW technician said that in order to reboot your DVR, you only have to unplug it for 10 seconds... unplugging it for longer than that doesn't make any difference whatsoever.) And when you go to exchange your old unit for another one, make sure you get the same, or preferrably, the most up to date model DVR as if you downgrade, you WILL notice a negative difference. They initially told me the unit I had was unavailable at the location I went to and gave me a less up to date model but guaranteed it would work exactly the same, but not so!! (The older style unit was very laggy and annoying when using the remote.) So, I called back to complain and ended up going to another TW location to make sure I got the same unit I originally had, which was worth the trouble. Hope this info helps. Good luck!
