I Had A Major Heart Attack In September And Was Not Allowed To Travel Until Now.

Your situation has special merit since you suffered a major heart attack. Airline tickets usually charge a fee to make changes after the ticket is purchased, but I recommend you contact United and explain the situation and it's possible they will waive the change fee if you can provide medical documentation, less a small processing fee. Usually the change fee is $150 plus any difference in airfare depending on your new travel details & flight availability, but I know the airline often waives the change fee less $50 if you have legitimate medical documentation.
When you call United, you will need details of your original ticket, such as the ticket number. You can contact United at 1-800-864-8331
