i AM JO STONE MY FRIEND IS SHIRLEY MCKEE WE ARE BOOKED ON NOV. 7 ON FLIGHTS 4184 LEON TO HOUSTON CONNECTING WITH FLT#104. SHIRLEY BROKE HER SHOULDER ON NOV 2ND AND HAD SURGERY SHE IS QUITE UNCOMFOTABLE AND I WAS WONDERING WHAT IT WOULD COST TO UPGRADE US TO EITHER BUSINESS OR 1ST

It would depend if first class or business seats are available on the flights you're confirmed. Call United and explain the situation and ask them for the price if the seats are available. Also, if you have a United Arlines Mileage Plus account, you may be able to use miles to upgrade. That's only if you have a mileage account with the airline.
