Blackberry 8530 Battery Dead, Put Charge On, Still Won't Come On?

I have a Blackberry 8530, I forgot to charge the phone, this morning I put the charger on (it has been over 2 hours now) and nothing...no red light, no showing it is charging...what can I do to get phone to come back on? I have removed the battery and put it back in...
