Problem Replacing Water Filter
want to replace the filter but the cover of the housing does not open fully to allow the filter to come out. i do not want to force open the cover in case i break it. please help. Whirlpool WSF26C3EXW

Go to here for the filter removal procedure, don't be afraid to open it from the bottom & lift the cover up. The resistance you feel is the mechanism pushing the filter out.
