Yahoo Hijacks And Dictates User Preferences

on yahoo articles, the comments sections:the comments are listed "highest rating" first.i want my default sort order for comments to be "Newest First" ...is this possible or do i have to re do preferences every time i refresh the page?yahoo will u stop screwing with my preferences?
