58 UNDERSTANDING THE FEATURES OF YOUR VEHICLE To Open And Close The Hood Two latches must be released to a normal customer usage position. First, reach into the lower right grille opening and pull the primary hood latch forward. If greater access is required, the Raise the front of the hood toward the right. NOTE: Assist props will raise the hood to open the hood. Then push the safety catch handle located under the front edge of the hood slightly for access to the safety catch. Raise the front of the hood.
