Can At&t Will Unlocked My Iphone4.. .

I'm here in south Korea and an American friend sell to me her iPhone 4 which is locked to at&t network..I can't find her again here to ask her to call AT&T now because I believed and I know at&t is unlocking iPhone now for free ..is it possible that AT&T will unlocked it for me so that I can used it here,I bought it for $300...
