How Do I Reinstall Windows After A System Restore?

How do I reset/restore the computer to its opriginal state with windoes 7 still installed as the operating system? I keep getting the following message: "The computer restarted unexpectedly or encountered an unexpected error. Windows installation cannot proceed. To install Windows, click "OK" to restart the computer, and then restart the installation." I have followed these steps to restart the installation about 5 times and I keep getting the same message everytime.
