Mp970 Prints 2/3 Page Then Msg 'service Error 5100'. Turn Off & On But Not Fixed

There are no blockages, all inks are OK. Tried maintenance clean, etc., to no avail.

This error is likely caused by one of two things. Either a dirty encoder strip, which may be resolved by cleaning. Or, a faulty print head which usually requires servicing by a technician.

I would suggest cleaning the encoder strip since this is the easier (and cheaper) of the two.

If this does not resolve your error and printing issue, then you may need to have the device serviced, depending on if the printer is worth the price or be better off just getting a new printer.
