Factory Settings

my machine is one week old and I followed the instructions to reset back to factory settings. before I reset all the instant buttons were delivering a cup of coffee. Cappaccino ,late and flat white. After the reset the flat white button delivers about an inch of milk, coffee/water. is this a fault in the computer program?
