"I have a plastic strip about 14 in long that has come off on my Dell 926 printer and "I do not have a clue where it goes. Is there a blow up of this printer so that "I can find out where it goes?

Sounds like it could be the encoder strip. Check out this forum discussion for details on working on the printer / reinstalling the encoder.
