Booting The Pc With A Usb Flash Drive

The desktop fails to boot,it says no supported drive or something please help I'm out of ideas and it's really causing me stress

What is the boot key for Dell Optiplex?

F12 key

Boot Sequence

Access System Setup by pressing F2 key. Bring up the one-time boot menu by pressing F12 key.

How do I change the boot order on a Dell Optiplex?

Changing boot order

On the System Setup Main Menu screen, click System BIOS > Boot Settings > UEFI/BIOS Boot Settings > UEFI/BIOS Boot Sequence.

Click Boot Option Settings > BIOS > Boot Sequence.

Click Exit, and then click Yes to save the settings on exit.

Connect the USB flash drive to a new PC. Turn on the PC and press the key that opens the boot-device selection menu for the computer, such as the Esc/F10/F12 keys. Select the option that boots the PC from the USB flash drive. Windows Setup starts.

Before you can boot from a USB stick it needs to be made 'bootable'. This can be done with an application called 'Rufus'. It is a free app which enable you to create a bootable usb stick. Just do an internet search. Using another PC/Laptop you can create the stick and put any repair software or installation software on the stick once created.
