It would have helped if you stated the airport you're departing. It's hard to answer that without knowing the city or airport in question since airports vary in size and layout.

If you are departing from one of Delta's Hub airports such as Atlanta, there is a separate terminal for international arrivals & departures. It can be confusing depending on the airport you are departing.

I would recommend calling Delta Reservations at 1-800-221-1212 and give them your reservation confirmation and ask them exactly which terminal you should check-in for your flight to Mexico. That way you won't waste time on the day of your flight by going to the wrong place.
