I Called My Number My Cell That I Gave As Google Voice Number And Left A

i just signed up for google  voice im scared. i have  tmobile i  dont want to mess up my tmobile service will this cancell  my tmobil?  i called  my   number the cell number  that i have  and use as google voice   and left a message i did not get it on google voice.       it said you have no messages  . did i have to choose  voice mail forwarded in settings  but i still want to get the messages on my mobile phone  im scared to mess up my  mobil phone that it wont work  can i cancell the   google voice? i was not able to choose a new  google voice number it wont accept anything i chose so i used my mobile number  but dont want to mess it up  .
