How To Reset 2009 Civic Odometer Trip Miles

To reset the trip odometer on a 2009 Honda Civic, press the SEL/RESET button until the trip mileage you want to reset is displayed, then hold down the SEL/RESET button until it clears. You can see a diagram of where this button is located on page 4 of the 2009 Civic Sedan manual:
