It sounds like there may be an issue with the mixing valve in your Magic Chef MCSCWD20W3 washer-dryer combo. The mixing valve is responsible for regulating the temperature of the water by mixing hot and cold water. If the mixing valve is stuck open, it will allow hot water to flow into the machine even when you have selected the cold water setting.

Here are a few steps you can try to troubleshoot the problem:

Check the cold water inlet hose: Make sure that the cold water inlet hose is properly connected to the cold water faucet and that the water supply is turned on.

Check the water inlet valve: The water inlet valve is the valve that controls the flow of water into the machine. If the valve is malfunctioning, it could be causing hot water to flow into the machine even when you have selected the cold water setting. You can test the valve by disconnecting the cold water hose from the valve and opening the faucet. If water comes out of the hose, then the valve is likely faulty and will need to be replaced.

Check the mixing valve: The mixing valve is located at the back of the machine. It is a small valve with two hoses connected to it: one for hot water and one for cold water. To test the mixing valve, turn off the hot water supply to the machine and then open the cold water faucet. If hot water still comes out of the machine, then the mixing valve is faulty and will need to be replaced.

If you are not comfortable troubleshooting the problem yourself, you can contact a qualified appliance repair technician to have the machine serviced.
