How Does Magicjackplus Work And Can I Use It?

Phone service in my house comes from Cox cable, not from a land-line service. So if I discontinue the Cox phone service, how does MagicJackPlus connect to a phone service if I don't plug it into my computer? (I just don't want to go through the hassle of getting it and trying to install it just to find it won't work in my house. But the Magic Jack people must have thought of this, so I'm hoping you can tell me it will work.)

All that's required to begin using Magic Jack is a computer with a high speed Internet connection and an ordinary home phone. You do not need a landline or existing phone service of any kind. More here.

MagicJackPlus requires you to have a wired internet connection wherever you wish to use it. If Cox is currently providing your home with internet service you will have to continue that service with Cox (drop only their phone service) OR get internet service from another provider. You have to insert your wired network connection in the ethernet jack on the MagicJack Plus.
