Change Of Battery Does Not Work

My Omron HJ 321 stopped working after almost 5 months of using it I changed the battery, but the display shows an image similar to a resetting taking place, but then goes blank, showing the Lb KG symbols and does not do anything else; even if I try to enter manually again all the information. does not respond. Is the life of the pedometer so short, or there is something that i can do to fix the problem?Thank you,Gabriella
