My Ricoh Aficio Mp C4502 Can Receive Faxes But Cannot Send Them, Why?

If you can receive faxes but you can't send them, the problem could be one of a number of things. Here are some things to try:

- Make sure the fax line is plugged into the LINE port and not the TEL port
- If it's only one sender you can't send to, it may be a problem with their machine
- There could be noise or static on the phone line. Try plugging a phone into the same line and making and receiving phone calls on that line -- if you can't dial out with the phone either, then it's a problem with the line and not the machine.
- Make sure you don't need to dial a 9, 1, or other prefix
- There could be a problem with the machine's fax board
