50,000 miles would allow you to fly within the mainland US, Alaska & Canada round trip. Availability for these types of awards are controlled, meaning you may have to be flexible as to when you travel.

Here is a link with information about award travel. Frequent flyers with higher mileage accrual have more options to travel, such as international destinations, upgrades and other benefits.
