Item Not As Described, Do I Have To Pay Return Postage From Hungary?

I sold some computer parts to Hungary, I accidentially got the model number mixed up with a very similar item (one digit difference and all the other details are the same!) I acknowledge that the item was not as described and that is it my fault. I told the buyer to return the item for a refund. It cost £13 to send to Hungary, but the buyer is saying it will cost him £40 to send back to me - therefore not worth it (item + original postage was around £70). If the buyer returns the item, do I have to pay his return postage fees? (£40ish?). If the item is not returned to me, do I have any obligation to refund? (I was thinking of a partial refund as a good will gesture)
