Hi there JKamb, my name is Kimberly and I form part of the Social Media Department with DISH. If there is only a black screen on your TV but you are still able to see the Guide or title of the show you are watching, simply reset the receiver by unplugging it from the wall for 10 seconds. If this is not the case, and you are at TV1, where the receiver box is located, the tv needs to be on channel 3 or 4. Depending on the cable that is running between the receiver and the tv, the tv may need to be on an input, such as video 1 or 2. If you are at the TV2 location, where there is no receiver, then the tv needs to be on channel 60 or 73.

If you are using an HDMI cable, then the TV will need to be on an HDMI input

If you are using Component cables, your TV will need to be on a component input. (Usually Comp 1 or 2)

If you are using RCA cables, then the TV will need to be on a VIDEO input (Usually Video 1 or 2)

If you are using COAX cables, then the tv needs to be on channel 3 or 4 (If you are at TV2, then the TV needs to be on channel 60 or 73)
