Help Me Please Won't Charge

Hi , I got a Nikon coolpix s4200 a month or 2 ago and I moved and today I used an adapter to charge it (there was no battery left so I couldn't use it) and the light for charging DIDNT light up? Please help what's wrong with my camera? Thanks
