Our Skype Has Lost Internet Connection.

After 16 months of successfully using Skype, we suddenly can't call anyone and we get the error message that Skype has lost its internet connection. We checked all wire connections and they seem to be fine. Our internet service (Mozilla Firefox) is working fine, but somehow it's not connected to Skype anymore. Can you please help us?
